Justin Abdou is a wrestler from Moose Jaw who competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and won a gold medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games. A nine-time Canadian champion, Justin also won the Cadet world championship in 1987.
Lyndon Rush competed in two winter Olympics and won a bronze medal piloting the four-man team in Vancouver 2021. He also won a two-man World Cup title in 2012-2013. Lyndon was also a football player at the University of Saskatchewan.
Shannon Miller hails from Melfort and coached the Canadian women's hockey team in their Olympic debut in 1988, winning a silver medal. She also coached them to a 1997 IIHF world championship. Shannon founded the high-performance training program at the Olympic Oval in Calgary and spent 18 years at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, winning five NCAA titles.
