Richanda Fisher is a Métis woman with lineage tracing back to the Métis Farm in Lebret on the Fisher side of her family and Willow Bunch on the McGillis side of her family. Richanda currently lives in Regina and works with Regina Public Schools as an elementary school teacher. She completed her Bachelor of Education degree with the Saskatchewan Urban Native Teaching Education Program (SUNTEP) at the University of Regina. As both a mother and an educator, Richanda’s focus is on integrating Indigenous culture throughout her work and home life. Richanda has enjoyed beading for years, but only recently took up the art more consistently. She enjoys immersing herself in cultural experiences, travelling, reading, hiking, beading and knitting.

Cassie Fisher is thrilled to have this opportunity to connect with you. As a proud Michif, her roots run deep in the Lebret and Willow Bunch areas, and she cherishes the rich cultural heritage that comes with it. Crafting has always been a passion of hers, especially when it comes to sewing and working with traditional materials like beads, porcupine quills, and caribou hair. About a decade ago, Cassie embarked on a journey to learn the art of beading, and it's been a fulfilling and creative outlet ever since. In addition to her love for crafting, Cassie has been fortunate to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with young minds as a grade 7/8 teacher for the past nine years. Connecting with others and sharing experiences is something she treasures.
