Kris Alvarez loves a good metaphor. She makes art like "that 80’s mom makes life": a flowered kerchief taming her unruly hair, heading to the lake in a two-toned station wagon, windows rolled down, blaring her favourite mixtape. "Jump into the back!", she says to friends she makes along the way, "No seatbelts - Dunno what time we'll get there - But there’s good snacks!"
Brandy Tabor is a proud Gwitchin and Inuvialuit artist hailing from Williams Lake, British Columbia. With an innovative style that represents the unity of all Indigenous nations, Brandy's work captivates audiences and celebrates the beauty, success, hardships, and perseverance of Indigenous peoples. Her work embodies the unity and resilience of Indigenous peoples.
