Métis artist Leah Marie Dorion will read from her book, Métis Camp Circle, and guide drawing activities.
Students will learn about Métis culture and teachings of the Bison. Bring a sketchbook and pencils to do free drawing during the session as Leah will conduct free drawing activities connected to the illustrations in the books. Leah will also answer your inquiry questions so have some prompt questions in advance.
Great for school groups.

Leah Marie Dorion is an artist, teacher, filmmaker and writer from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Dorion holds a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Arts from Athabasca University. Dorion is also a published author of books about Métis history, cultural teachings and storytelling.
