This event will be held on the 2nd floor mezzanine of Central Library. Drop-in. No registration required.
Following the Black Prairies Artist Talk from 11:00am to 12:00pm, join us for the art exhibit's reception and RPL's opening celebration of Black History Month!

About Joseph Ashong (featured above): Joseph Ashong is a Master drummer, professional dancer,, choreographer, composer, recording artist and teacher. He was born in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. He is of both Ga and Krobo tribal heritage. He came to Canada in 1991 and has performed with many ensembles and in 1997, Ashong was presented with Music Africa’s “Best Male Performer” award. He resides in Saskatoon with his family.

About AfroClef Live Band (featured above): Based in Regina, AfroClef Live Band is a reputable band known for its versatility and experience with a passion for quality music. AfroClef Live Band started in June 2012, and it offers services in live music for corporate, social and individual events.
