Presenter Bio – Gurpreet Kaur
Gurpreet Kaur is the Volunteer Coordinator at Regina Public Library and serves as the Communications Convenor for Multifaith Saskatchewan. Originally from India, she moved to Regina with her family in 2022 and has been actively involved in community building and intercultural engagement since.
At this event, Gurpreet will lead a presentation on Sikhism, offering insights into who Sikhs are, their core values, and the significance of the Golden Temple—the holiest site in Sikhism. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, creating space for meaningful dialogue. In collaboration with Sikh Society Regina, she has also coordinated performances of Sikh martial arts (Gatka), traditional Indian music, a cooking demonstration, and a vegetarian meal prepared by community volunteers.
Gurpreet is passionate about fostering inclusion, cultural awareness, and community connection through education and shared experiences.

Sunrise Branch first opened its doors to the public in 1990 and since then has operated as a full-service branch for the residents of Regina.

A book drop for items to be returned when the Branch is closed
