This month's concert features a violin performance by Katie Achtzehner.

About Katie Achtzehner

Katie is a professional violist and music teacher based in Regina, Saskatchewan. She spends her time teaching at the Conservatory of Performing Arts, performing with the Regina Symphony Orchestra, and attending the University of Regina. Katie has taught music for over seven years and currently teaches private lessons, violin group classes, and coaches a junior orchestra. Katie has been the principal viola of the South Saskatchewan Youth Orchestra for the last six years, and of the UofR Orchestra since 2024. Last summer, Katie toured and performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, and this summer will be attending the Orford Music Institute.

About the branch

Central Library, the largest of the nine Branches in the Regina Public Library system, is a social and informational hub in the heart of downtown Regina. The Library maintains an extensive calendar of programs, training opportunities, art exhibits in the Dunlop Art Gallery, along with film screenings in the Library's very own repertory film theatre!
