A Beginner Watercolour Workshop: Poppies on the Prairie

SU-2Ages 13 and over. Reflect on Remembrance Day through art. Create a meaningful prairie poppy painting in watercolour while learning basic brushwork, blending, and composition. Supplies provided.
Beginners are welcome. No advanced painting skills are required.
Registration: Registration opens October 4, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
Important Note: This program is offered twice at Sunrise Branch, on November 4 and November 10, from 5:30–7:30 PM. To help ensure fair access for everyone, please register for only one session. Duplicate registrations will be cancelled. Participants must be 13 years of age or older. Registrations for participants under 13 will be cancelled.
Presenter Information: Zar Karamloo, an art teacher and artist with more than 6 years of artistic experience, is a passionate creative whose love for art knows no bounds. Possessing extensive experience in teaching various art forms such as charcoal drawing, colored pencil, watercolor, clay hand building, and wheel throwing, her workshops are places for creativity. Always eager to learn and try new things, she finds joy in the process of creation and is particularly interested in dynamic projects. Sunrise Branch first opened its doors to the public in 1990 and since then has operated as a full-service branch for the residents of Regina.
