Zoom 1Grades 4 to 8. Author Cort Dogniez will share Metis Roogaroo stories and other stories. By sharing Metis stories, we preserve a vital piece of Metis culture for future generations.
The Metis Roogaroo Stories storytelling sessions was inspired by the Métis Roogaroo and Superstition Stories - a compilation of stories from members and friends of Gabriel Dumont Local 11, a Métis Local in Saskatoon. Many Metis have grown up with Roogaroo and superstition stories. Storytelling is essential to the Metis people, a traditional method of sharing knowledge from generation to generation.
