Doors open at 7:00 PM, talk starts at 7:30 PM. Presented in partnership with The Artesian (2627 13th Avenue) and Swamp Fest.

Masks required for all guests.

Participating Artists: TAB, Neil Adams, Sean Dunham, and Emma New.

Toxic Algae Blob (T.A.B. for short) is Swamp Fest's mascot and the resident swamp creature of Wascana Lake. The exact details of their origin is as murky as the algae filled lake in September. What is known, however, is that it emerges from the lake midsummer; perhaps buoyed by good times and great music to make itself known to our world. In 2020, TAB ran for Mayor of Willow Island against S.A.M. (Shadowy Amorphous Mayor) and Honk Gooserman (a literal goose) - winning by a landslide. It enjoys long walks along the banks of Willow Island at sunset.

Neil Adams spent the first 35 years of his life in Regina as a mushroom, growing on the underside of an old BBQ in Wascana Park. After gaining sentience following a chance encounter with TAB, the Toxic Algae Bloom of Willow Island, Neil has since found work as an administrator in non-profit arts environments like the U of R Carillon, the Cathedral Village Arts Festival, and most recently as Station Manager of CJTR Community Radio. Neil is the Vice-chair of Swampfest.

Sean Dunham is a writer, performer, podcaster and wig enthusiast from Treaty 4 territory. His art practice is directly influenced by Krazy Bins finds.

Emma New (She/Her), also known as DJ Nu, is a turntablist and scratch DJ from Regina, Saskatchewan. Since picking up the vinyl in 2020, she has worked exclusively with her Nu-Metal band, Flash Back, with whom she has released a two song promo (North American Nu Metal, 2020) and a 6 song EP (Wide Awake, 2021). Emma has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe with Flash Back, sharing the stage with notable bands such as Scowl, Zulu, and Knocked Loose. Emma is very involved in the local regina art community, running programming at the Creative City Centre and working with Regina Based Record Label, Sharp 5 Records.
